As the name suggests, a solar phone battery charger harnesses the power of the sun (a.k.a solar energy) to provide electrical power to your gadgets or charge the battery. The advantage of these portable gadgets is that they don't need an external electrical power source to work, making them great for outdoor lovers or people who lots of not have access to a power outlet right now (like if you're at a music festival in the middle of the desert or midway through a beautiful walking).

At the Great Housekeeping Institute, we check tech items from water resistant speakers to gas leak detectors. To test solar charges, we take them to our basic light room and time for how long it requires to completely charge each system. Then, we see how long it takes to charge various devices over 400 hours of battery draining pipes over our latest screening.
